1. Because I see this asked every month, OMG! Hack/Slash is ending?! What’s up with that?
heh, well, I thought the world was ending, and, now that it didn’t…whew..this is embarrassing. (editor’s note – see the real answer in the questions for Hack/Slash 20! Also see the Comic Book Resources interview “Tim Seeley Sheathes “Hack/Slash“)
2. Pooch is put through the wringer this issue. He finds out about Chris and Lisa, but Cat lets him sleep on the bed. We know he survives, right? Or that’s alternate future where everyone else dies?
Yeah, I hate being mean to Pooch. Fortunately we kill him off totally mercifully next issue. KIDDING! OR NOT!
3. Margaret comes off very strong this issue. She seems to have dealt with the loss and accepted her role in all the craziness. What took her so long or has that always been there and Cassie wouldn’t allow it to surface?
Yeah, I think we started to see this side of her back when she faced off against the killer Tin Man Munchkin. But, Cassie has really forced her to take a stab at a “normal life.”
4. Cat has actually become a useful (yet still a bit nutty) detective and put the group on the right trail. Pooch, Margaret and Cat all seem to have reached a point in their character arcs where… wait… they are all going to die, aren’t they?
Yep. Once they’ve outlived their usefulness, we at Hack/Slash HQ just ace ‘em.
5. Loose end – Skottie Young. He needs to either be dealt with or come back and do a Hack/Slash Babies cover, right? Seems like a fair trade to let him live!
Ha, I really thought about including him in this story, but the real Skottie is a happy dad out in the suburbs, so it seemed wrong to try and kill him.
